Westaway provides sewage/effluent remediation services to the Gold Coast, Brisbane & Northern Rivers Regions.

Structural materials and contents items such as carpet and curtains which are contaminated by sewage should be evaluated to determine whether salvage is economical.

An evaluation should take into account the degree of contamination as well as the cost of replacement. In 95% of sewage contamination cases carpet is uneconomical to restore. Contaminated carpet, underlay and smooth edge is generally removed and disposed of in a safe manner at a council approved tip.

Once the contaminated materials have been removed and disposed Westaway Restorations clean the area using Antimicrobial Solutions and a fuel powered truck mount with extraction. Westaway Restorations has considerable experience in cleaning and decontaminating sites affected by sewage. In all cases the wearing of personal protection equipment is recommended.
